OpenAI Swarm
Developed by OpenAI, Swarm is an experimental and educational library that aims to make agent coordination and executive processes light and testable. It runs entirely on Chat Completes API, does not store the status between calls, and mainly uses rollover (handoff) mechanisms with agents. The project has now been replaced with OpenAI Agents SDK, and it is recommended to switch there for production environments.

- Using the Triage agent example, you redirect incoming requests to the right specialist.

Feature: AgentID support for agent identity during handoffs
“## Summary Swarm agents performing handoffs need identity verification. AgentID provides cryptographic identity so receiving agents can verify who is handing off control. ## Reference Implementation [AgentID]( is an open-source identity layer for AI agents: - ECDSA P-256…”
