Scaphandre
Scaphandre is a metrology tool developed to measure energy consumption metrics by the electrical power of server and technology services. Software that can run in Bare metal, virtual machine, and Kubernetes environments can transfer the obtained data to various tools, such as Prometheus, Riemann, Warp10, or JSON file. The project, which supports Gnu/Linux and Windows operating systems, aims to incorporate energy consumption data into the monitoring and analysis processes.

- You can measure energy consumption on Bare metal servers and QEMU/KVM virtual machines.
- You can transfer the power consumption metrics you get to Prometheus or other tracking tools.
- You can view energy consumption data from your system via the terminal or save it in JSON format.

Integrate power consumption estimation on public cloud virtual machines as a degraded mode
“## Problem Until the cloud provider does install scaphandre on its hypervisors, we should enable cloud customers to estimate their power usage and thus their climate impact. ## Solution Integrate statistical models like for GCP (look for other models) as sensors to enable using…”
