Zipkin
Zipkin is an open-source distributed monitoring platform that collects and questions the timing data needed to address latency issues in service architectures. Various protocols are supported for reporting tracking data for applications, such as HTTP, Kafka, gRPC, and RabbitMQ; the collected data is stored in memory or on supported backends. The Zipkin interface summarizes the percentages of time spent on services, displays error states, and presents the dependency diagram between applications.

“We came up with the name by putting all kinds of words into Google translate and making sure they weren't trademarked. Zipkin seemed short and sweet and wasn't widely used before.”
